Teresa Ethnic Home is a Christian institution located in Buon Me Thuot and raises poor ethnic kids from Lam Dong, Daklak, Daknông, Gia Lai, and Kontum. The Home operates under the mission to create a place where kids can receive education and learn to become a good person.
Taking a different approach to many other homes, the Sisters at Teresa Ethnic Home always make sure that their kids feel they are welcomed. They tell their kids that they are here because of their good behavior, not because they are poor or orphaned. In fact, kids here feel very happy and lucky to be under the care of the Sisters at Teresa Ethnic Home.
Over the past 10 years, more than 140 kids have been raised by the Home – some move back to their villages and have good jobs in their community. At the moment, Teresa Ethnic Home is raising about 180 kids from 5 to 18 years old. The kids receive education in public school, and have the chance to enjoy sports and music activities.
Reason for investment
Music education and training, recreational activities and opportunity to promote their E Đê, Gia Rai, Hmong, Mnong, Nùng, Xơ Đăng, Cơ Ho, Cơ Tu, Bà Nà… culture to visitors:

Ethnic people are passionate about music, they have good singing voice and the ability to quickly learn things related to music. Each ethnic group has its own music instruments and dances. Our kids at Terexa Ethnic Home have the opportunity to create performance shows of many different styles. During summer vacation and weekends they can perform and promote their culture to visitors
